In the flashlight industry, most products still adhere to the traditional cylindrical shape, with design differences often limited to variations in the proportion of the lamp head or minor details. In contrast, truly unconventional designs are rare, and flashlights with a hexagonal prism structure are even rarer.
The Wuben E8 was born from this "unconventional" design philosophy. Its distinctive hexagonal prism shape breaks away from the traditional perception of flashlight aesthetics, making it instantly recognizable. Appearance and materials: Trendy and stylish, good-looking and fun to use
The classic blue and white packaging box is packed full of items: the E8 flashlight (including 14500-920mAh Li-ion battery), a dual-C charging cable, a lanyard, an instruction manual, spare waterproof O-rings, a spare magnet, and a detachable clip. The overall configuration is quite comprehensive.
The E8 has a hexagonal cross-section, resembling a hexagonal prism overall. The cross-section side length is 18mm, and the height is 95.2mm. The single flashlight weighs 70g, and with the battery, it weighs 90g. The entire body is made of aluminum alloy and treated with anodizing, which enhances durability and gives the flashlight a solid feel. The six flat surfaces provide very even pressure distribution, and the details are well-executed. It won't feel uncomfortable or cause fatigue even after prolonged holding.
On the front of the tube head are three lamp beads evenly arranged at 120°. The upper part is a UV lamp bead, and the lower part is two SST36F WE50 5000K white light lamp beads, sharing an orange peel light cup.
The E8's most distinctive feature is the three vertically arranged side lights evenly distributed along the body, with strong magnets connecting the lights to customized shells at both ends. This gives the flashlight a strong, functional design aesthetic even when it's turned off.
The tail end is conical, with a cylindrical button embedded in the middle that has a pre-drilled M4 threaded hole. It not only acts as a switch but also serves as an interface for a modular system, allowing for the addition of detachable accessories such as mounting devices or decorative attachments, maximizing its versatility and potential for customization.
As a standard accessory for the flashlight, the E8's pocket clip is made of higher-grade titanium alloy with a sandblasted surface treatment, resulting in a finer texture than ordinary steel clips, making it simple yet aesthetically pleasing
Lighting effects: One flashlight, three light modes
Most common flashlights emit light from the head of the flashlight, and even those that can illuminate from the body are limited to a specific area with a fixed direction of light. The E8, however, separates the lighting system into three sets: a main light at the head, a side light on the body, and a UV light, each designed for different usage scenarios.
Main light
The main light uses two white LED beads, capable of outputting a maximum of 1300 lumens, and features an orange peel reflector for a uniform and soft beam. The 5000K color temperature is softer, making it comfortable for walking, searching for objects, and performing close-range tasks. It's far less harsh on the eyes than cool white light, and doesn't cause eye strain even after prolonged use. The high-brightness setting is ideal for illuminating large areas. Whether you're navigating outdoors or conducting nighttime patrols, it instantly illuminates the environment clearly. All fear stems from insufficient light; being able to see everything clearly provides an unparalleled sense of security.
When used for close-range lighting, the low to medium brightness settings provide sufficient illumination, and the light spot is evenly distributed without any noticeable hotspots, making it comfortable for prolonged use without causing eye strain.
Side light
The hexagonal body of the E8 features three vertical light strips, each emitting light outwards at a 120° angle, perfectly combining to create complete 360° surround lighting.
It can truly be used as a camping light, and it's not just for illumination, but also for creating ambiance. The official website offers four magnetic attachment options: amber (standard), blue, red, and clear. Changing to different colors completely alters the projected light effect.
In addition to high and low constant-on modes, the side lights also have a beacon mode, which flashes at a fixed rhythm, making them very effective as indicator lights.
UV
The E8 boasts a UV power of 2W, which is quite powerful for a portable flashlight, resulting in brighter illumination and a wider beam. It's very effective for trace detection and document verification. When the 2W UV light is projected, anything containing fluorescent components will exhibit a very noticeable bluish glow. It can also be used with UV-curing resins.

Although the Wuben E8 has a simple design, its customizable details give users more options. Battery
The E8 uses a 920mAh 14500 lithium-ion battery, providing a maximum runtime of up to 36 hours; it is also compatible with AA batteries, so even in an emergency while outdoors, you can easily use a standard AA battery to power it.
The battery itself has a built-in Type-C interface, so it works with any cable and charger. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge with a 5V/1A charger, and a power bank is sufficient for charging on the go.
Water proof
In terms of protection rating, the E8 offers a robust IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating, which is more than sufficient for everyday use and easily handles various outdoor environments.
Tail Cap
The tail cap is designed to fit the M4 threaded hole at the end of the flashlight body, and can be easily attached with a carabiner clip. Whether for everyday carry or temporary attachment, the E8 provides a flexible solution.
