Difficult to review a product that was never received.
Just love it, its made brilliant and it's really tiny but the light out put is amazing.
What a powerful flashlight for such a small and compact device. I am impressed. Looking at the built quality and pricing, I just ordered some more Wuben flashlights.
I've been carrying an old single AAA light on my pocket forever, it was small, it worked, it was cheap, but not very handy.
Man has this G5 been a major improvement! Just having the magnet has been a massive help. It's no bigger than a zippo, and it lasts quite a while on a charge.
If I lost this one, I'd by another one ASAP.
I normally don’t write reviews unless it’s to give a fair warning — but this time I have to give credit where it’s due.
I bought a Wuben G5 for myself for Christmas. It arrived late, so I started using it around January 5th and really liked it right away — great features, compact, and practical. My only minor complaint is I wish the magnet were a bit stronger.
Then around January 15th, I lost it in my driveway. I figured it was history.
Fast forward to February 11th — I spotted something in the driveway after weeks of brutal winter weather. Turns out it was my flashlight.
By that point it had been:
Buried under ice
Driven over by cars
Hit with freezing rain and heavy snow
Exposed to wind chills around -10°F
Snow-blown and salted repeatedly
Basically, full Michigan winter treatment.
I picked it up expecting a dead, water-logged flashlight. I wiped it off, hit the button… and it turned on instantly like nothing ever happened.
No flicker. No issues. Just worked.
I honestly couldn’t believe it. Most gear doesn’t survive a fraction of that abuse.
If a flashlight can survive being frozen, buried, run over, and still work, that says a lot about the build quality. This thing feels less like a gadget and more like survival gear.
At this rate, it might outlast me.
Well done, Wuben — you made a believer out of me.
Picked up a few of these for xmas presents (too bad Canada Post service isn't as good at Wuben's) and when they were finally delivered I charged one up and gave it a trial. F'n brightest light I own. Brighter than my "Police" flashlight and about 1/50 of the size and weight. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LIGHT. I'll be taking it everywhere with me now.
